Is large quantity link building effective for my new site?

The number of links is not essential, the quality of links matters. Getting links from irrelevant and unwanted sites will not help your site, getting links from relevant and authoritative sites will help in promoting your site.

The mistake most people make is thinking about the quantity instead of the quality of the links. No matter how many backlinks you build, if they are not of quality it is useless. Try to build backlinks from quality sites.

i agree.. quality counts more than quantity.. you also have to work hard in order for you to get to the top..

Quality counts. Though I have seen quantity work a little as well.
