Blogging can help you to get numerous links. As the World Wide Web abounds in bloggers, it is likely that if you are linked to a popular blog you will get a more traffic to your site. Therefore find out some popular bloggers that posts blogs having interesting content relevant to your site. Then you can start commenting on those sites. Participate in positive discussions.

Yeah! This is true. I just enter 2 to 3 links per article when I used to write on my blog.

Yes, blogging is effective. Just make sure it stays up to date with fresh, relevant content.

Yes of course it will help you in order to get back links but i tell you one thing that blogging is not much good way to do it.
