How many links to build?

While link building, one should remember that it should be natural. 15-20 links per day are acceptable..

merely 20 bookmarking a day will be enough for a single url to focus that keyword.

It all depends on your own ambition, but I wouldn't go over 30 per day per keyword. As long as you are contributing (if it's a forum post, or blog post, or article), who cares? It's content that is the background for backlinks having a large weight with SEO- content is what drives the best SEO anyways!

I don't think there would be such quota on back link building but you might want to increase your back links in a stable pace.

Well 20-50 for starting can be very safe
Once your site is older can build more ...

regular posting is good with 2-3 links and 2-3 blog reviews are great.
