Try forums and discussion boards that are relevant and have a good PR. Also, social bookmarking is really good, because search engines see them as being very high quality sites.
Try article and press release submission sites.
Also, you can try using social media apart from seo techniques. It is very useful for both backlinks and for your online reputation management.

Does creating Hub Pages and Squidoo Lenses improve your positions or is Google not giving them as much love as they used to? E.G one of my sites on the first page, want it to climb, doing everything else but haven't tried a Hub/Squidoo route - any success stories?
