How to caculate the PR?

I know that the pr is very important for SEO. And the higher, the better
However, i don't know how it come. How to caculate? Anybody knows?

Download the google toolbar and it will show you the PR of every page you visit. Get links from higher PR pages and your PR will rise.

I think the calculation goes as PR of the page/no.of outbound links is the PR for passed to your page. Adding up all the incoming PR you get PR for you.

The best way to calculate the PR is to go according to google page rank. You can install a google toolbar which tells you about the PR.
