Yes one way links is better than reciprocal links but what is more important in getting links is link quality and how related is the link.

Though some insist if you have good content then relevant link exchange and promotion will still generate some very useful links and traffic. However, I don’t think just sit there and wait for links will do any good. We should take initiatives.
