Trademark Issue: Am I Covered?

Hello,

I recently registered a trademark on a logo. The logo had the company name and slogan in it, however in the mark's description I clearly stated that the slogan was not part of the company name.

Long story short, the USPTO registered it as "Companyname Slogan" rather than "Companyname." Does this still offer full legal protection for "Companyname"?

Yes. Actually, you have legal protection merely by using the company name in commerce (i.e. conduct business in good faith). The registration simply puts others on notice that your name is taken, as well as the slogan. (But if you stop using the slogan in commerce for an extended period of time, it can be considered abandoned and another would be allowed to use it.)

I would also research registering your trademark with your state. You may have to pay a registration fee. Go on your state's website and see what they offer.

Yeah, dude just pay a fee & U won`t have any problems with it as well

If it is protected as slogan ,then also it will be protected.
