Best 3D Software?

I personally use 3ds max but is there anything better?

It depends how you want to use the 3d software. How about Maya? Xara, Autocad and even Photoshop have 3d capabilities now.

I think Maya is better.

I think LightWave 3D is a high end computer graphics program.

Maya is the best IMO. I've taken a course for maya.

I've been working with and teaching about 3DS Max for about three years now and learn something new about it EVERY day. I think Max and Maya both have their perks, otherwise Autodesk wouldn't keep both of them alive at the same time! Maya is more for movies and special effects, Max is more for gaming. Does everyone agree?

First off Newtek makes LightWave now in ver.7.
LightWave, Maya, and 3DS max are all top of the line 3d packages put you also pay for them. Maya has a personal learning edition that is free but everything is water marked. Bryce is not widly used in the professional 3d world. Its not quite as powerful as the others.
LightWave, Maya, and 3DS max are the best that i know of.
