can I use photo's I find on Google Images on my website?
Is leaving credits from the site the images are found from good enough? (its a non profit site...or atleast none of the images I find online would be used to help in any sales)....or do I have to contact all the companies and ask?
Like Google does, you can use the thumbnails of the images (this is generally covered under "fair use"). If you want to use larger images, you should contact the site owner.
They may say "sure, no problem"
They may want attribution
They may want payment
They may have licensed the image, and don't have permission to re-license it
You need to get permision from each site the image came from.
Say you got images, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Images 1, 4 and 6 came from site B
Images 2 came from site A
Images 3 and 5 came from site C
you need to get permision to use all the photos from each site, a, b, and c, not from google.
