I would highly recommend this service to anyone not currently using it. It gives you an insight in to how google sees your site. You can get information like which pages google has indexed, what keywords you are coming up for, you can submit sitemaps and robots.txt as well as lots of other information on your site.

The more you know about how people use your site the easier marketing becomes.

Google Webmaster Tools will show all sorts of errors with a site. Not only does it show broken links on the site, but also links that are driving traffic to the site for which there is no valid page.

yes google webmaster tools are useful but i no not understand why they are not showing all incoming links. this makes no big sense to me. either all or none. yahoo is better for checking backlinks i think.
