Just continue link building and there is no alternative way of getting your website out of the sand box effect.

I thought the sandbox was for new sites not for new links, or changed anchor text, on sites not sandboxed? Anyone else seeing new links/changed anchor text on older sites being sandboxed?

Being in Sandbox is terrible
Use only legal "white" SEO methods for your website promotion: directory submissions, blogs and forget about buying or exchange links.

make your website clean with white hat if u have used black hat methods before and got sandbox.
after checking ur on-page try building only quality backlinks from Authorised websites and try to build same niche backlinks and then just wait n watch until ur site gets out of sanbox

One way in order to remove your site on Google Sandbox is to remove all the bad links in your site. Make sure all that your site has a clean coding and free from errors and your site don't apply blackhat techniques on your sites pages specially like cloaking. You can then submit your site to G for re-inclusion.
