high on google no where on yahoo

we have worked our way up to the top pages of google and yet have made little progress on yahoo,is the seo work we do on the site only apply to google??

Yahoo and google has different algorithm. Maybe your SEO techniques now only works for google and not for yahoo. I am also wondering how to optimize in Yahoo.

you need to get some backlinks for your site from the site yahoo crawls daily or usually.

I have also same problem,
one of my site is top in google but even not in ranking on some keywords in MSN and Yahoo.

I have started improving links from my site to come top in yahoo, but still no rankings, just waiting to come in top in Yahoo.

Yahoo attention links less than Google,it's attention about the content.

Some people speak highly of the benefits of being in the yahoo directory but it was rather pricey the last time i looked. Suppose it depends on how keen you are to rank well with them.

Mind you there are lots of alternative strategies you could adopt such as having a crafty look at what your competitors who rank well in yahoo are doing in terms of backlinks and seo and see if you can pick up some ideas from them.
