There is nothing wrong in adding more articles to your website. But remember one thing that if your content will be copied by someone else and will be able to crawled it before your content gets crawl you wont be able to rank your blog...so first try to index all your pages...

Yes you can add more articles and it is really good for your site also. But you don’t need to block search engine from crawling. Let the spider come and crawl your site, you will be benefited.

The number of articles doesn't matter. As hsvyas said some one may duplicate your content and get indexed before you. Submit your site to search engine, site map to webmaster tools and get indexed. You can add more and more articles to your site at anytime.

Point is that It Should not be copied from anywhere.

Look Search Engine Follows Copied Content and mainly which is not good when you copied any content from other websites/Blogs. Better Just make your Blog and Don't Put any Content 1st Indexed by Search Engine and Then See the reflection.
