Ever heard of Scratch My Back Marketing? It is likely that you have not if you have never read my blog.

Now, having said that, it is important to know that, I have been sharing this idea on other forums and social media sites so you might have seen it somewhere else. I thought that I would share it here as well because it is such a power tool when implemented properly.

Scratch My Back Marketing is basically about non spam link building practices.

Scratch My Back Marketing is a link building method that involves the use of branding and advertising in the link building process. It requires that you, the link builder, exchange useful content or comments in exchange for valuable Do Follow backlinks. It's also about what I like to call win/win marketing.

The advantages of Scratch My Back Marketing can be huge for everyone involved in the process. Your link building comments or posts are definitely less likely to be deleted if you add value and are not self promoting. An additional benefit is that it might actually produce increased website traffic and business.

Think about this: have you ever visited a site or blog from a comment that read "great topic?" The answer is likely no. But it is possible that you might a website from someone who left a useful blog or forum comment.

Also think about this: Have you ever done business with someone who left a comment that read "great post?" The answer again is likely no.

Yes, adding useful content and comments does take more time but those comments are not likely to be deleted so you are further ahead in the long run.

I have tried this process for over a year period and the results are great!

I've been a pretty firm believer in this- after all, my name is being posted, as well as my links. I don't want someone to associate my name with spammy links that are posted on someone's message board.

Besides, message boards are all about contributing, anyways!

As i saw in many blogs comment that baklinks are with your name not with your anchor text then how can it profitable in SEO ? Because if you will get backlinks with your anchor text then you can get PR juice also with traffics.

Besides, message boards are all about contributing, anyways!

Unfortunately, way too many people don't realize that their comments reflect directly back on them and their business. They put out all of this bad karma in the way of spammy comments and don't give it a second thought.

I have gotten substantial business from leaving useful comments so I know it works because the clients tell me so.

As for message boards they long ago lost their allure of being helpful. For many they are just another resource to be exploited.

I'm glad to hear that you have a solid understanding of these principals.

Mike what is so tricky about adding quality content that can be used for branding and for advertising while link building? It's actually very easy.

In my own experiences, a well written title tag, seo friendly page contents plus enough backlinks using your targeted keywords in anchor text would be essential for higher SERP purpose.
