Probably just a blank spot in the imaging. Sometimes the satellites can miss a spot, or a section of the image file gets corrupt.
If you look at the size, it's about 50 sq miles (25 miles x 2 miles), which would seem an appropriate size for an imaging malfunction of sorts.
Though curiously, there is a huge orange blob (over 500 sq mi) about 120 miles N-NE of it, that is alot harder to explain.
It appears to be a spot for where no photos were taken or the photos didn't come out. At any rate, it appears to be caused by a lack of data.
There is another anomaly located at 70 deg. 31 min. 45.39 sec. North and 40 deg. 06 min. 54.44 sec. West. It, too, appears to be a film anomaly. Notice what appears to be hand writing. I think this is the end of a roll of film.
