    Industrial organization is a discipline which focuses on understanding and assessing the behavior of firms and markets in which they participate, and the interaction between the two countries. The objective of this type of study to increase the internal efficiency of the facility so that it is poised to compete more effectively in the market. It manages this not only in refining the structure and operation of the business, but also adapted them so they can respond more effectively what is happening within the theories of the broader market.While on industrial organization may differ in some details, and there are considerations to be addressed and wide the few that are likely in any attempt to position within the commercial market to achieve the best results. First among these considerations are the basics or fundamentals that relate to the company's current level of the process and goals in the end. This includes the assessment of demand for goods or services provided to consumers, the efficiency of the business keep pace with this demand, and how quickly can the use of resources such as technology, facilities and workforce to adapt to changes in demand. Along the way, is the quality and durability of products is also an essential element of the process, since those far-reaching effects on the Company's ability to compete.

This phrase is also used to mean the economic study of the organization or an industry. When used for the competitiveness of a market, the term market structure can be used interchangeably. Industrial organization is concerned with the competitiveness of market, what this means for market control by buyers or sellers, and how this affects the efficiency of production.
