Default How To Grow Your Business Using Social Networks

    1. Temper your expectations according to the audience available. If you are in a niche industry that sells directly to five clients in the world, then perhaps, social media may not be able to help you too much. If your customers are in rural towns and villages in India, then social media is definitely not your vehicle.

    2. You need to be simultaneously active on multiple networks that reach your target audience. Just being active in one will not further your cause. You need to find out and be active in networks that target your own industry, as well as in networks

    3. Do not expect miracles overnight. You need to build up the trust of your audience. Social media have their on trust and reputation cycles, and it will take time to build up your reputation in a network and to get people to respond
    to you.

    4. Do not be sporadic. Appearing and disappearing at random is the surest way of putting off your audience since they cannot be sure about you and cannot trust you. If you get into a social network, be prepared to be there for the long haul. Be prepared to commit time, resources, and energy for this.

    5. Do not delegate it to the junior-most employees. Involvement in social media is like making PR appearances. That cannot be done by junior employees who do not have the power to talk or take decisions on behalf of the business. Social media interactions should be carried out by senior stakeholders and employees, and by those who are authorized to decide or talk on behalf of the business.

    6. Whatever happens, do not fight. Remember that you are talking in front of a potentially large audience. It is too tempting for others not to take the side of the little guy taking on the organization. You just cannot win even if you are right and the other guy is completely nuts. So, what ever happens, do not fight. If anything, go out of your way to be helpful and resolve issues.

    7. One person cannot represent a brand. If you use social media, then you need to put enough resources behind it. Ideally, all employees in the organization should contribute. In real life, enough employees should be tasked to the project.

    8. Keep your ears open, not just your mouth. From the perspective of a brand, social media is not just about getting your message out. It is more about hearing what others have to say about it. It is also about molding that opinion and finally about getting your message amplified by others. For all this to happen, you need to first keep your ears open and listening to what others are saying about your brand.

    9. Cross-link your social media activity. Rule two asks you to be active on multiple social media. But do not keep each isolated from the other. You should cross-link and cross-post to each other to derive the maximum benefits.

    10. Make it personal. Do not use corporations jargon or PR-speak. You are talking to people and they expect a real person at the other end, not an uncaring automation. Add a personal touch to your messages, particularly your replies.

    Thanks

    Hi

Social networks sell ads and commercial messages arise after users tell their associates come seal a individual goods or labels they like. And sustains messages from the business transmitted it will sell. In a sense, his imagination to offer a ad a great success, like millions of these networking sites are advertising outcome to each call. The service network has gone from being a tool for population to continue in touch with associates is a very productive way to brand worth for retailers and organizations for their goods and services to create.

    Hi

Marketing online is changing rapidly. A short time ago no one cared anything about the social network websites, at least not as far as business promotion is concerned. The world has changed. When it comes to easily finding and communicating online with other internet users, social network websites are, perhaps, the best way to go. Any serious Internet marketer will make use of the social networking sites, or will miss big opportunities.

    Thanks

    Hi

A social network is an inexpensive and indispensable marketing tool. All the people in your social circle are those who are really interested in your products or services. You just have to give them requisite information to make them your permanent customers. To spread brand awareness, you can either send your contacts emails or you can direct them to your website. Additionally, there are certain social networking sites that specifically cater to small businesses. These sites allow you to get feedbacks and accolades from your customers. While feedbacks help you fix up all the loopholes in your business, accolades are letters of recommendation that have the power to attract more prospects. Thus, without spending a single penny, you get real customers for your business.

    Hi

    1. You would want to consider choosing a few social networks you enjoy and/or who rank the highest and stick to those. Don’t try to do them all. Otherwise you have another full time job! MySpace is number one at the moment and falling in second place is Facebook. Hubpages, Linkedin and StumbleUpon are other ones high up there to consider. A few of my friends recommend Twitter. Apparently it is rated high in the U.S. Twitter is a micro-blogging platform where you can send out short messages to your readers. You can get flashy with Squidoo where you can create fantastic looking photos or videos on your lens.

    2. Don’t just sign up without planning to participate to some degree. It is your participation that gets people to know you and build trust.
    3. Make sure to fill out your profile information, the real personal you so that your potential customer gets to know who you are and you begin to build trust. Photo and web links are very important.

    4. Once you have set yourself up, now it is time to socialize. You may post an article that is factual, relevant and helpful to your readers on some sites.

    5. Surf around for others in the same field as you and make some friendships.

    6. Give positive comments or shout about their blogs or sites.

    7. Post a few ‘shouts’ a week and keep them public.

    8. When someone follows you and asks for friendship, use your best judgment to do it back to them.

    9. Keep your social networks fresh and don’t leave them outdated. I confess I fail to do this sometimes.

    10. When you ‘shout’ or post updates don’t make them about “come buy or view my products or business”. Instead give some relevant free tips or advice that are helpful for others to participate.

    11. Set up a blog and post articles (best to write your own articles) so that others are aware of your websites. You can use WordPress or Blogger (both are free) to shine your expertise. A blog allows you to write short articles on topics pertinent to your customer base. Just make sure you write articles that have useful content to the readers so that they will keep coming back for more.

    12. Participate in community forums that you enjoy. This will drive you some traffic.

    Hi

You need to work that virtual crowd and get your name out there. Treat your social network (or networks) as a way of building community and developing relationships. This is as important for a business as it is for an individual.

    Hi

If you have a Wordpress blog, you can use the Twitpress plug-in to get people from Twitter to jump over to your blog. Use your blog to post interesting opinions, articles, podcasts and breaking news. If you live on the edge of information and news, you will always be in the cycle of adding value back to your Twitter network, which is great for building credibility. If you use a blogging tool other than Wordpress, simply take your blog post permalink (the link of the post in your browser), turn it into a tinyurl and post it directly on twitter.

    Thanks

How To Grow Your Business Using Social Networks

    Hello

Social networks have been touted as the next big marketing tool for any business. So we all have a profile on MySpace and Orkut, and have even tried to answer a question or two on LinkedIn. Our contact details are on Plaxo and we have even made the occasional Tweet.

    Thanks.
