Tips for Getting Great Referrals

1) Ask for Referrals in Person: There is no harm in asking. In fact, you might even make it compulsory for your service business. At the very least, ask your customers to tell their friends and family.

2) Send Referral Letter Via Mail: You may have asked in person, but sometimes clients and customers forget. Remind them once in a while with a mailing. Send a brief sales letter or postcard reminding them how much you value their patronage AND their referrals.

3) Make It Easy to Give Referrals to you clients know what to do when they make a referral? Make it easy for them to get more referrals your way. Provide them with a stack of business cards, stamped postcards, or even coupons that offer a discount for first-time referral customers.

4) Give a Referral Bonus: There’s no better motivator than “what’s in it for me?” Your customers and clients may be happy to give a referral, but they will be looking for opportunities when they know they will receive something for their referral efforts.

5) Get Referrals From Non-Customers: Carry your business card wherever you go. Whenever you meet someone, hand them a business card, especially if your business comes up in conversation.

1) Forum Marketing – Forums are the right place to embedded your referral links. Find out good number of quality forums with more readers on your topic. Join such forums and add your referral link into the signatures. So every time you post a comment on forums, your link will appear which creates more chances to get visitors to your referral page.

2) Blog Commenting – Find out famous blogs on your topic and write comments on the blog posts. Put your referral link to the URL and this drives the readers of the blog to come to your referral page. Write a stand out comment that may create more chances to get visitors to your referral page.

3) Start A Blog – You could even start a blog and write some articles/ related product reviews on that blog. Put your referral link on your blog too but it takes time to get visitors. But once if you started building useful content on the blog, you will get more readers from search engines.

4) Use PPC Networks – The best and costlier method is going for PPC advertising which drives quality and targeted traffic to your referral links. But the only thing you have to pay money for each visitor that your get.

Hello Friends

1)Expect referrals - make them a condition of doing business with your firm. Set the expectation from the outset. Look your new client in the eye and promise to make their life better. Then, tell them that they are going to provide you with 3 referrals by the end of the month. You'll be amazed at how many will do it. If you wait until later, you are essentially changing the rules of the relationship and nobody likes change.

2)Target - You must be able to tell anyone who asks -exactly who makes a great referral for your business, why you deserve referrals, and what you are going to do with that referral.

3)Make It Easy - Present your client or referral network member with a very easy way to refer you. Write the letter or referral,create and stamp a postcard that only needs to be addressed by your referral partner, offer to get on the phone with them to make the call.

4)Pay-off - Create some form of thank you or recognition and make sure your clients know about it. Movie tickets, flowers, thank you notes and, of course, cash, go a long way towards motivating folks. Don't worry so much about what, just realize that appreciation goes a long way with people.
