Default How to attend a business meeting

    Hello Friends,
There are five easy way to attend the business meeting.
1.Dress like you would to go to a office job, if not told what to wear. If you feel like your out of place you are less likely to feel confident. Many presenters show up in a suit and tie.
    2. Bring a note book and pen to take notes. Never agree or pay for anything the first meeting. If they are pressuring you, it is a scam and get out then. If they are showing a promotion, don't worry more then likely the next day they will magically call and say the promotion is extended. This is a sign the business has a major focus on referrals. Again if you feel pressure just say no, do not feel like you have to agree with them.
    3. If the meeting involves dinner, most of the time they will pay for your plate. But if you feel bad about a friend paying for your dinner it is okay to pay them for your plate. Do not feel obligated to do so or pay for any other fees. Never pay for information on a business.
    4. Listen to what the presenter has to say. Do not interrupt or be rude if you do not feel the information is correct. Wait for when the presenter asks for questions. It is okay to show you do not agree, as long as you do so in a pleasant manner.
    5. Ask questions. If your first question was not answered, rephrase the question and ask again. Be considerate, but let them know your question was not answered. If the person gets jumpy or upset at this, be warned that the work at home business may not be what they are showing you.
    Thanks.

    Hello,

At the Business Meeting do the following:

    • Introduce Yourself to Others: Making the first move may make you feel less vulnerable.
    • Smile: Smiling (only when appropriate, of course) helps you look approachable.
    • Psych Yourself Up: Remember the qualities others like about you.
    • Get People to Talk About Themselves: Everyone likes to do this and it will take the focus off you.
    • Beware of Alcohol: You don't want to become too uninhibited.

Smile Re: How to attend a business meeting

    Hello Friends,
When planning to attend a meeting, trade show or convention, preparation and knowledge is the key. Being a smart business person means properly taking the necessary steps to maximizing the efficiency and satisfaction of your trip. Visiting Las Vegas can be surprisingly easy to plan and very enjoyable, if you follow these simple tips.
1.Prepare before you get there. Las Vegas boasts more than 900 flights per day and non-stop service from over 130 US cities. You won’t be short on flight options, but to ensure you get the best deal possible, make sure to book early. Additionally, booking your accommodations (from one of Las Vegas’ 140,000 hotel rooms) should be done in advance. Also, Las Vegas averages 320 days of sunshine per year, with an average temperature of 66.3 degrees. It’s always a good idea to pack a swimsuit and pair of sunglasses, just in case you get an afternoon away from your meeting and you get a chance to lay by the pool.
2.Keep healthy. Even if you plan on spending much of your time indoors at a meeting or convention, follow these tips to staying healthy. Wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Las Vegas is home to some of the biggest meeting venues in the nation, with the Las Vegas Convention Center alone covering over two million square feet of exhibit space. Applying a sunscreen of at least SPF 30, and carrying a bottle of water with you at all times will help keep you safe from the sun and hydrated throughout your long days.
    Thanks.

I would like to add up some more lines
    1. When you are going to dress up then don't wear the new cloths on that day atleast one time used cloth wearing , it will not give the good impact to wear new cloths.
    2. Just give your visiting card to all the persons sitting on the meeting.

    Hello friends

Be punctual. R.S.V.P. to the meeting in a timely manner if a reply is requested. Arrive at least five minutes ahead of the start time to ensure you don't miss anything. Showing up late will interrupt the speaker and cause distraction.
Prepare yourself. Study the key points of the meeting, and read the objectives. Know the latest company news and current events. If you will be presenting, make sure you have created visual aids such as PowerPoint presentations and handouts. Turn off all personal electronic devices so as not to cause distraction.
Pay attention. When others are speaking, listen closely. You do not want to ask questions that have already been asked or cover a subject that has already been discussed. Take notes on key points to help keep your focus. If you have a question, hold it for when the speaker is done or presents the opportunity for an open forum.
Stay for the entire meeting. Leaving early is distracting and often disrespectful. Take the time at the end of the meeting to thank the speaker or pose a question.
Follow through. Complete any tasks you were assigned during the meeting to the best of your ability. Review the notes you took, and file them away for reference.

    Thanks for all friends

    Hello friends,

    • Meet Other Attendees in Advance: Get to know as many people as possible before you attend the conference.
    • Look Your Best: When you look good, your confidence goes up. Make sure your hair and nails are well groomed.
    • Dress Appropriately: Find out what type of attire is needed.
    • Bring Clothes that Travel Well or bring an iron. You don't want your clothes to look rumpled.
    • Pack Comfortable Shoes: You may be on your feet for long periods of time.

    At the Business Meeting
    • Introduce Yourself to Others: Making the first move may make you feel less vulnerable.
    • Smile: Smiling (only when appropriate, of course) helps you look approachable.
    • Psych Yourself Up: Remember the qualities others like about you.
    • Get People to Talk About Themselves: Everyone likes to do this and it will take the focus off you.
    • Beware of Alcohol: You don't want to become too uninhibited.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi

To really succeed in a business or organization, it is sometimes helpful to know what your job is, and whether it involves any duties. Ask among your coworkers. "Hi," you should say. "I'm a new employee. What is the name of my job?" If they answer "long-range planner" or "lieutenant governor," you are pretty much free to lounge around and do crossword puzzles until retirement. Most jobs, however, will require some work.
There are two major kinds of work in modern organizations:
    1. Taking phone messages for people who are in meetings, and,
    2. Going to meetings.
Your ultimate career strategy will be to get a job involving primarily No. 2, going to meetings, as soon as possible, because that's where the real prestige is. It is all very well and good to be able to take phone messages, but you are never going to get a position of power, a position where you can cost thousands of people their jobs with a single bonehead decision, unless you learn how to attend meetings.
The first meeting ever was held back in the Mezzanine Era. In those days, Man's job was to slay his prey and bring it home for Woman, who had to figure out how to cook it. The problem was, Man was slow and basically naked, whereas the prey had warm fur and could run like an antelope. (In fact it was an antelope, only nobody knew this).
At last someone said, "Maybe if we just sat down and did some brainstorming, we could come up with a better way to hunt our prey!" It went extremely well, plus it was much warmer sitting in a circle, so they agreed to meet again the next day, and the next.
But the women pointed out that, prey-wise, the men had not produced anything, and the human race was pretty much starving. The men agreed that was serious and said they would put it right near the top of their "agenda." At this point, the women, who were primitive but not stupid, started eating plants, and thus modern agriculture was born. It never would have happened without meetings.

    Thanks

    6. Step 6
Be positive, but not over optimistic that the business is what you are looking for. You can go to the meeting a have a good time and still not think the business is for you. You do not have to tell your friend how terrible the business is, just let them know that it was not what you where looking for. If you feel the business is illegal, find proof first. Then present it to your friend. If you do decide to join the business, before you join vow you will not be sour with your friend if it does not pan out.
