Default Ideas for a small business start up

    Hi

    * We begin by assuming that you are in the business you love. If you are not, the first tip we have for you is that you find something about it to like or move to something that you are passionate about.

    * Cash! Plans! Cash forecasting and financial plans are next on the agenda. A planned budget, a measurement process, both short and long term will help your business start up. It's imperative that you know your projected income or revenue and cash expenditures to drill down to your cash flow.

    * Research your business, your competition, and the industry and stay current and then define your USP. (Unique Selling Proposition) Read, read, and read! Get start up advice, join organizations that will help you, get on to the net and do all your homework there.

    * If you can differentiate and find that USP, leverage it to the maximum.

    * It helps to establish and fall back on a trustworthy mentor or advisory board. It could even be family, someone whom you can bounce ideas off, and get an objective opinion on your USP among other factors.

    * Build networks - Meet with people and build a strong business support structure.

    * Discipline and motivation - Plan and schedule work, execute quality project management methods. Review your business methods and ideas periodically and make the necessary changes.

    * Prepare for change - an inevitable part of your business plan.

    Hello Friends

1)Develop your personal and company goals:New business success requires a combination of knowing what you are doing and capitalizing on a good opportunity. Develop and clearly state your goals in a written plan, which will then serve as your road map. They give you a sense of direction and help you get to your destination, a successful business of your own, with a minimum of time, effort, and expense.

2)Define a viable market segment for your product or service:The next step in starting a new venture begins with listening to the marketplace. Define an unmet consumer need first, before you develop a product to satisfy that need.

3)Develop your marketing plan. The purpose of the marketing plan is to describe how you will attempt to create and maintain customers for a profit. It needs to state whom you are going to sell to, how you are going to penetrate the market, why you will be successful with your sales campaigns, and finally, how much you will sell annually over the next five years.

4)Write your initial version of the business plan:Your business plan must reflect the unique environment you will be operating in as well as what you plan to be your competitive advantage. It is an outline of the direction in which you plan to take your company, an analysis of your business strengths and weaknesses, and a skeleton from which your formal business plan will later be developed.

5)Determine your financing needs:Once you have developed a rough business plan, you can begin to determine your financing needs, which will be incorporated into your formal business plan.

6)Form your key teams:founders, management, and directors. Before developing your formal business plan, you must make sure you have put together a solid management team.

    Have a nice day

1)Decide What You Want:Step number one, decide exactly what it is you want in each part of your life. Become a "meaningful specific" rather than a "wandering generality."

2)Write it Down:Second, write it down, clearly and in detail. Always think on paper. A goal that is not in writing is not a goal at all. It is merely a wish and it has no energy behind it.

3)Set a Deadline:Third, set a deadline for your goal. A deadline acts as a "forcing system" in your subconscious mind. It motivates you to do the things necessary to make your goal come true. If it is a big enough goal, set sub-deadlines as well. Don't leave this to chance.

4)Make a List:Make a list of everything that you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal. When you think of new tasks and activities, write them on your list until your list is complete.

5)Organize Your List:Organize your list into a plan. Decide what you will have to do first and what you will have to do second. Decide what is more important and what is less important. And then write out your plan on paper, the same way you would develop a blueprint to build your dream house.

    Thanks

    Hello Friends

1)Business Plan: Any new business must make a business plan so that it is understood what is required to get your business started, what your intentions are for the future and your expectations. The costs you are likely to face and the funds you have to deal with all the required financial concerns. Your business plan should look to the future, perhaps with a 1 year, 5 year and 10 year outline of what your business expects to achieve within that period. If you are required to obtain funds to start your business you will be required to provide a business plan to the Lending institution and this also shows your commitment and thought processes for your intended business and its success.
    2) Bank Account: You need to ensure you open a business account only for your business income and expenses. If you do not use this account for all your business related expenditure and income many times you will find that the income has not gone into the business and yet all the expenses are coming out of the business. This is often the reason why many businesses do not succeed.
    3) Insurance: Ensure that you have all the required insurances to cover the operation of your business and the employees you have relating to the business. You need to consider coverage for insurance for your employees themselves as well as any property insurance such as vehicles left on your premises and also any liability issues that you can obtain insurance coverage for.
    4) License: Make sure that you check with all regulating authorities that you have the correct licenses and all of your staff fulfills all required criteria before you start off with your business. You do not want to outlay all your start up costs only to find you missed a simple step such as a permit that you may be required to have and you are shut down for the offence or required to pay huge fees.
    5) Advertising & Promotion: Make sure that you have an allowance in your estimated costs for sufficient advertising and promotion. Once your business is open you want everyone to be able to find you so make sure that you have allowed a budget sufficient to cover your advertising and branding promotion for a minimum 3 month period if not for the entire year.

    Have a great day

    Hello....

    1. Find a Niche. For small businesses, it is best to find a niche. A small company with limited resources can efficiently serve niche markets. Concentrate your efforts on a fairly narrow market offering. This entails sticking to what you do best, and becoming an expert in that field. Realize that it is not possible to be good at everything. By concentrating on a fairly narrow market niche, you may be able to avoid head-on collision with bigger competitors. If you are a hardware store selling everything from paints to lumber, the entry of giant retailers like Home Depot in your area can spell the end for your business. However, you can try to limit your offering, for example, to construction of porches and decks and be the best retailer for this segment.

    2. Be small, yet think big. The most common question of small business start-ups is “How can I compete with my big competitors?“ Small businesses have inherent advantages over big businesses, including flexibility, ability to respond quickly, able to provide a more personalized service. Make sure that your business takes maximum advantage of those areas that represent the strengths of small companies.

    3. Differentiate your products. Present the benefits of your products and services to your customers, highlighting the unique solutions it offers to their problems. Avoid being a copycat; rarely do imitators succeed in the market. Study, but do not copy your competitors, and package your products distinctly.

    4. First impression counts. Strive for accuracy and quality the first time around. You often do not have a second chance to make a good first impression. This entails a well-laid out store, courteous staff, and personable voice over the phone, etc. However, if you are a one-person business working in a home office, remember that you are the center of your business and marketing efforts. Everyone you come in touch with is potentially a client or a referral to another client because they are either impressed with you as a person, impressed with your skill at providing a certain service or product. Make sure that you are always presentable, professional in your ways and knowledgeable about your business.

    5. Good reputation. Your business hinges on its reputation. It is imperative that you build a good reputation for the quality of your products and support services. Remember that two things guarantee success: high quality goods and superior service. Always aim for quality. If you are a tax consultant, strive to prepare a totally accurate, perfectly done tax returns for your clients.

    Hello,
IMO starting a virtual assistant program, web development and writing as a ghost writer are the most popular ways to make money online. As an SBE (small business entrepreneur,) I suggest others join some free and trusted online business sites; hopefully they’ll get good business from there (based on their skills).
