Benefits of Private Domain Name Registration

As more people are mining domain name registration information for email address for the purpose of adding more users to their mailing lists, it is becoming apparent that there is a need for private domain name registration. There are many software applications available that search these domain name registration databases to get more email addresses for companies engaging in SPAM. Although most companies that offer access to these databases for the purpose of searching for available domain names, have tried to prevent this by adding an extra validation step to the searching process, there are still some companies that have not added this feature. This means that your information may be subject to being collected without your knowledge.
Several companies are now offering the ability to register your domain and keep your information private, for an additional fee. GoDaddy.com currently offers private registration for $9.95 a year in addition to the yearly domain registration fee. Is this something that you need to do? Let’s look at some of your options to help you make this decision.
First, are you currently experiencing a high volume of SPAM, even though you have not given out your email address? If this is the case, and you have not shared your email address with any companies, a high rate of SPAM may be blamed on WHOIS miners that are collecting your data. If you have noticed that the email address that is affected the most is the email address that is listed for the contact information in your registration, this may be the cause.
If you are fed up with getting SPAM, and you think that this is the way that your email address is being added to these lists, a private registration can solve your problems by hiding your email address and making it inaccessible to email address collection programs.
Second, if you are concerned about privacy issues, a private domain name registration will hide all of your contact information. Since you have to provide a mailing address, phone number and your name during the registration process, anyone that does a search for a domain name can have access to this information with just a few clicks of their mouse.
There have been several cases where site owners were harassed by visitors to their site who found their home phone numbers using a domain search tool. If you are worried about this happening, a private registration is a very good idea.
Since you need to supply valid contact information with your domain name registration, it may be worth the extra money to ensure that this information is not used inappropriately.

Hi ordinary domain registration is nothing but registering domain through online domain vendors by providing all your details ..After registering a domain if you do whois search for it you can get all details like domain owner name ,phone number ,maill id and so on ...So that people may know the owner of a particular domain name ...
Private domain registration is nothing but hiding your personal details from public when they do whois search for your domain name ..If you are registering a domain under private registration service then all your personal details like domain owner name ,phone number ,mail id are hid by proxy .Due to this if anyone did whois search for your domain name then they might wont get any personal information's about you ...
The main advantages of using private registration is to avoid junk and spam calls ,mail and so on ...
If you want to get private registration service then visit sites like XnYnZ.com here they register your domain for affordable cost ..After registering the domain do whois search for your domain at Whoisxy.com to check that whether the details are hid or not ...

When you register a domain whether or not it's a personal or business site, you're asked to provide personal information. You can either publicly register the domain, which is what most people do, or you can privately register it. A public registration allows for anyone on the web to do a iwhois search for any domains you own, and the search results will return your street address, e-mail address, name, and any other information you've entered in.

Selecting the Private Registration option allows you to keep your personal information in the WHOIS database private. Your personal details, including contact and ownership information, is hidden and inaccessible.
