    Default Are .in names overvalued?

Lately , I have noticed many people are buying .in domains in bulk.

I have a feeling they are being over hyped.

Even after being there for years, .us names never really became valuable (compared to .com).

Now US is a much bigger internet market than India - both in terms of number of users and money spent.

I fail to understand why people expect so much from .in domains when India has neither the user base nor the spending capacity that US enjoys.

    What do you guys think?

    I think they're overvalued.
On the other hand, you may undervaluing the economical and social change that is occurring in India. It is expected that in 10 - 15 years from now 50% of India will be middle class (if nothing serious happens in the world) and since they're already over 1 billion heads now...

I think it's fine to stock up on any domain name, leaves you with more options in the future. At the rate that domains are going, it's wise to invest. Plus, maybe more Indian Web sites will pop up in the multitudes in the coming years, you never know.

The poor results shown by .us will also occur for .in as well. The .us experiment has shown that .com is still the King. I feel that .in is overhyped. I'm not aware of any other factor that would make the value of .in any different.
