I have heard that you can first register at namecheap and then host at another site.I would like to register with namecheap and then host with ipage.is that possible.if yes then what are the formalities required.will it take a long time to get approved by ipage
etc please tell in detail.Are there any disadvantages by first registering at name cheap if yes then please tell.

Definitely register your domain name as soon as possible, to make sure that no one else buys it first. Once you purchase your domain you can host it with whatever provider you wish. I haven't heard of the hosting company you mention, it might be a good idea to contact their sales team before you sign up, and ask them how much time they normally need to deploy new accounts.
