its free for life however it is a subdomian and not a domain. also you will need to log in to your panel every year to reactivate your account or they will delete it.

i wont used to trust any free service, many of them don’t allow you to have full control on your domain name. If you’re going to buy domain names, is the lowest cost service which is full-featured and really works for you .
In my experience i got the domain making use of this site zippozap .There are so many softwares out there one can use to grab good and valuable domain names .Any one interest to get domain make use of this site , it will satisfy your expectations & good in services ..

If you are talking about free domain names you need to understand that such domain names are free for you and that easy to get them but at the same time you can lose them any time.
