Default What is an Add-On Domain?

    Hello Friends

An Add-On domain will allow you to host an additional domain name under the same web hosting account. It is accomplished by pointing the nameservers of the new domain name to the server and simply adding the Add-On domain in your Control Panel. You will then have a folder on your main domain that will contain all of the files and folders for the Add-On domain.

    Hello friends

The meaning of add-on domain name

An add-on domain is a new domain that is added on top of your main domain. It creates a sub directory within your main web hosting directory but can show a different web site. The add-on domain collects the information from the sub domain directory using the same space and bandwidth as your main account, however it won't have its own cpanel (web hosting manager).

    Thanks for all guys

An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages all sharing the same control panel. You can give them email addresses, forwarders, and more the same way you do for your main domain on the account.

The addon domain will appear as a totally separate domain from your primary domain. There should be no evidence that your domain is an addon domain to incoming traffic when they visit your addon domain.

That would depend on your web host and hosting plan. Some plans might not allow addon domains where as some might allow 1, 5, 10 or even unlimited. You need to check with your web host how many addon domains do they allow with your hosting plan.
