LSI is Latent Semantic Indexing. These are keywords associated to the keywords you are searching for. LSI looks for synonyms related to the title of your page. If the title is classic cars, the search engine would assume to catch words relating to that topic in the content of the page as well i.e. automobile, car auctions etc.

LSI SEO, i.e Latent Semantic Indexing, is answer of search engine(Google) to regular keyword stuffing of many spammy websites in the world. Webpage are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collected, combined and identified as the keywords for the page. In LSI approach, search engine not only uses meta tags and keywords appear several times, but it also looks for synonyms related to a particular word, and assign it as your webpage keyword and rank it higher than other sites competing for the same keyword.

Latest semantic indexing is the mathematical method that is basically used to determine the relationship between terms and concepts in the content. It is the important step to the document indexing process. LSI keywords are essentially related to keyword that you search for an search engine such as Google.
