Well i think a blog which is attached to your website is considered more useful then a separate blog which is linked up to your website.

When you attach your blog to other websites, it helps to drive traffic to it.

I don't think it's going to matter much as far as Google is concerned. There are certainly trade-offs to consider (such as offloading security concerns to a third party) but as long as you link between your blog and your core website in a way that informs you visitors, you can go either way.

It is always good to have logs in your end. Blog provides fresh and unique content and it gives a good opportunity to rank well in the search engine result pages.

Now here letís look at both the condition.

If you use blog in the same website rather than using it as different blog it is obvious benefit and will help in Google ranking. But here is a question why that happens, it simple as Google want the fresh and updated content. so if you have a blog in your website, that finally mean when you will write a new post in your blog, Google will take as if you have updated the site and will give it more preference.

But if you want to make a separate blog, it will not worthless at all, promote your blog and increase the traffic on blog (it will be more easy for blog to increase the traffic than website) finally divert the traffic from your blog to website.

If I were you I would have adopted the second one, I know itís quite eye raising, but second method is more effective.

Rest you can judge very well.

I think it is good idea to integrated independent blog t your site. When you update that blog your site also gets updated from that updates. In this way you can also promote your blog through your site and make benefits for increasing your traffic.
