Blogging and social media

Indeed its true social media is good way to promote the website these days, but one can't ignore the blogs as well, blog commenting and gues posting, or your own blog with fresh content still works in promotion .

Depending on the industry, blogging could be much more valuable than social media. I mean - imagine a bankruptcy lawyer or a plumber doing social media. I mean - of course it is not impossible but it would not make a lot of sense. Whereas, they could easily get popular among the local community if they blog on popular topics, give some advice, suggestions, case studies, answer publicly questions they were asked, etc. At the same time, for a travel agency it would be much more profitable to advertise through social media than through blogging.

I'm actually using social media preferably facebook in promoting my business. I created my business fan page and able to build a good reputation. I shared my fan page to my fb friends, groups and other related fan pages. Through that I gained a lot of fans who turned out my customers. Therefore, I find social media as an effective way of promoting my business.

I feel that Social Networking Sites are a good way of promoting one's website over the Internet. Many new sites in this social media are being launched and even I have come across such a new site whose name is corlif.com. This site apart from Social networking and Blogging, also provides it's members with the feature of voluntary online charity.

Though social media websites are important...still blogging is good. Have you ever tried guest blogging? Try that.. it will really give you repeated visitors and genuine visitors and they comments are really not spam and have more chance to get googlebot to our blog. If you are good at blogging..you can write articles for some other blogger and vice versa.

i think both are good to promote the sites. social networking and blogs are really very helpful to promote the site. i can't prefer any one of the two. both should be done.

have you ever get ROI from your Facebook fan-page.? Which type of content you are using while promote your page with your friends or in your group ??

Yes I agree blogging and participating in social media networking sites are the most effective and easiest method to promote website. It helps in brand building and makes your customers loyal.
