Below are some of the tips which I have applied in my bog I had got good benefits from it. So below are some quick and short tips for improving your blog

Focus on content representative blog design
Integrate counter or show off no. of visitors
Integrate social media activities and Icons
manage your content well and establish inter linking for easy access
Allow comments and make it no follow to reduce spam and quickly give reply to your commentators
Distribute your content on different channel where possible
Give clear for email subscription and confirm its working

Here are a few general blogging tips:
1. Don't clutter your blog. Your blog background should be simple and relevant to the your subject. There are free templates that you can search on Google. Try and use it in your blog depending in your niche.
2. Your blog articles must have a large and clear font. You can choose Arial or Times New Roman.
3. Update your blog frequently. If you are passionate in blogging so I think you should post at least twice a week. It is not necessary to post everyday.
4. Make sure you have an area for reader feedback. You can add a chat box widget in your blog or even set up a poll to get opinions from your readers on important topics such as what kind of content they would like to see.

Try to write on your blog every few days and definitely once a week. Google currently values quality original content. It can help tremendously with your rank.
