blogspot or wordpress

It is good if you use Wordpress platform its no doubt that it have a lot of plugins. But if you are new and just go for your first blog you can start it with Blogger.com
that is easy. i also start with Blogger.com. And for absence please visit google.com/adsense/www/en_US/tour/

Wordpress for sure. Blogspot is good and all, but Wordpress is far superior.

Depends on how "techie" you are. Blogger is very easy to get started with. WP takes a little more tinkering (not much) but it's worth it. Especially with the Fantastico feature on most hosts.

Both are best in there own area.

On one side wordpress offers best protection from spam but on the other hand blogspot gives the easy to use option.

If you are technically sound than I think that you should go for wordpress.
