The obvious choice for Number 1 is Wordpress, it is the most versatile and flexible platform that I have come across. But, that is my opinion, Wordpress seems to fit my needs 9 times out of ten. Our needs and that of our clients are different, don’t get me wrong I am not saying that Serendipity, Text Pattern or any of others are not very good, just simply my preference. Thats the key word here preference.
The amount of Wordpress users out there is phenomenal, which makes me think that most haven’t tried or even heard of some of the free Blogging Platforms that are readily available to use and download, and each has, like Wordpress, there own community that there own dedicated following.

Even Google's Blogger is qute popular.

There are so many platform for the blogging with having so many advance facility it into them. For these there are so many list for blogging some of them which is really great such as word press, Blogger, Joomla, Live Journal and so on these all are really great to share with us.

Yeah, I always recommend Wordpress to our clients and they love it too. It's very easy to use, yet extremely powerful and versatile.
