Default 5 Points to Consider in Naming Your Blog Or Website

Want to start a blog or website? Here are 5 different points for you to consider in deciding on a name for your blog or business. It is very important to get this right, as this lays the foundation to your future websites success. What will Your Blog or business be Known By? This is the name and domain name by which people in your niche will remember you by, so choose wisely.

Some huge mistakes are sometimes made when laying this foundation. There must be relevance between the website or domain name, its name and its contents. The journey to any success, with the Search Engines will be much quicker and more effective when the domain name and website title is more focused on the future website content. There needs to be a relationship and connection between these three aspects.

-1. First decide what you want to do with your website, write about, or go into business for and why?
-2. Make your domain name short and catchy, choose a name that will stick in the mind of your audience.
-3. Choose a name that is relevant to what you want your blog, business or passion to be about.
-4. Branding and the importance of promoting an image. What's in a name?
-5. What is searched for? Include a sort after keyword. In most cases a .com domain name is the name of choice.

    1. Decide what it is you want and why? If you get this wrong at the start, it is very difficult to change your domain name at a later stage, as you will be losing out on a lot of the work it took in establishing your site getting visitors. Have a clear idea on what your blog or websites purpose will be and then choose an appropriate domain name and title for it. It is important to get this right. NYroofing.com is far better than Jacks.com. The title should shadow the domain name for SEO purposes giving more detail about the site.

    2. Make your domain name as short and as catchy as possible. It must be easily spelled, remembered and to the point. It has to stick and be remembered in peoples minds like "Coke- Google- Twitter- BMW and so on.

    3. It should also include a well searched key word in the area that you want to target, so that the search engines can index your website. Your domain name should be telling the search engines like Google what your site is about, so it can find relevant content for its searchers.

    4. Branding a simple, short and sweet name is a lot easier than a mouthful, hard to remember one. A misspelt word will not find your site. CraigsList is sometimes spelt CraigesList, with an "e" this takes you to another unknown one. Take this into consideration... Always when ever you can, promote this name so it becomes familiar in peoples minds.

    5. A keyword suggestion tool can be found on the Internet to find good key words related to your niche that are well searched for. People go onto the Internet to find information. They type in a phrase that they need information on. The idea is to find and use these same words to get them coming to you.
