That's an interesting concept, it reminds me of the million dollar homepage. It will be interesting to see if this actually becomes popular enough for it to be worthwhile.

is this similar to the million dollar page? how much will be an average cost of purchasing countries.

There's a list of all countries for sale here. It looks like the price ranges anywhere from less than 1$ up to $170,000 (about 115,000 euros).

oh my! that means these guys are going to make a lot of money.

It depends if their site actually works. The million dollar homepage worked, and many people copied it thinking it was an easy way to get rich. I'm not sure exactly how much money people are willing to spend just to get their name on this website. One of the reasons the million dollar homepage worked was because it got a lot of publicity, and advertising wise it provided a decent amount of page views, but now that many people are copying it, I don't think any one site gets enough publicity to make it worth it to spend that much money for a small advertisement.
