Are you using twitter? Share your experience

My mentor told me that twitter may help increase traffic to your website.. But I still prefer doing directory submission, forum posting, blog commenting, blog posting, article submission, press release submission, social bookmarking..

Twitter is a good additional tool, occasionally items are retweeted and gain the attention of big bloggers or those with large followings. That can really boost the interest in an item.

Twitter can be helpful, but you need to make friends , the more people follow you the more traffic you will bring to your website

I haven't try to use twitter.

I have just started using Twitter and I am not sure how to get followers.Any ideas??!!

twitter never worked for me

I used all link building work but daily I sped 1 hour on twitter.I daily share a new article to my twitter followers and no doubt I am getting good traffic from there.

Go to listorios and twellow and add your details. Then put in the keywords of the subjects your interested in. Go through the list of people it generates and click follow.

As a suggestion, I usually only follow people with around 500 to 10,000 followers as they are more likley to follow you back.

You are limited to following up to 200 new people per day. Repeat the process each day of finding and adding new people to follow.

Usually around 40-50% will follow you back.

Tweeting

Ask questions, become engaged
Re-tweet other peoples articles, not too often, and only if they are good.
Tweet your own content.
