You write what you want but good contents for your audience in blogs. The better you got, the more audience you get.

Blog as compared to wesite is much easier to manage and promoting blog is also easier.

Blogs can be used for several purposes, such as for promotion, link building, earning revenues etc. as blogs gets indexed easily and promotion is also easier.

For those who already have a website can be used to direct backlinks or can also used as a tool of promotion of your website.
