Sounds interesting, but an email alert every time a ranking changes. Is that across all data centers? That could be a huge amount of alerts. Even if it is for one center that could be a lot of alerts for a site that targets lots of keywords in active markets... Thanks for sharing.

You know even if you know SEO and have a lot of free time, it is not guarantee that your site will grow...
I believe that with your site should work team (no less than two persons), all of them have their own personal ideas, methods and strategies...
So, I advice you to hire SEO team.

If you know that you can make it rank to search engines you don't have to hire a company but if you know to your self that you cannot handle you site(s) you can contact a company and do it for you.

It depends on what are your final goal? How soon you want to see increase in rankings? And also your knowledge about SEO techniques.

When we do SEO/marketing seminars we find that most people just want a quick fix and they are hoping that SEO is it. When we explain that SEO is never a one and done process and that they will need to market their sites we see lots of sad eyes.

Most small business owners have no idea what all is involved to have a successful website.
