A couple of years ago (maybe five-ish) there was a website featuring what purported to be a blog by a man being pursued by unknown authority figures because of information he'd captured on film. There was a buildup toward the public release of this information, which turned out to be no more than photoshopped images of an "ark" and information revealing huge worldwide flooding would occur soon.

It turned out to be a marketing tactic for a book- yet I can't recall any other details after multiple google and snopes.com searches. I know the name of the website was a date, and that's about all.
