    To Make Email Marketing successful, one has to do it properly. To get high results, one needs to be very careful. Following are the Do and Do not of Email Marketing.


    Things that you can do

    • Create a powerful and a snappy subject line that doesn't sound like an ad.
    • You should use HTML rather than plain text.
    • You should always design the e-mail.
    • You can also rely on list-management software or services to deal with subscription changes.
    • You should always track your messages' effectiveness.

    Things that you should not do (Do not)

    • You should never get blacklisted.
    • Do not use JavaScript or background images.
    • Never fail to include an unsubscribe link and a physical mailing address along with your message, as required by federal anti-spam law.
    • You should never assume that message recipients will see included images--some e-mail programs will not.
    • One important thing that you should keep in mind is that never send at the wrong time.
    • E-mail marketing is an important strategy that one must fully understand it before venturing into it.

    You may also discover this if a list has never been used... or if emails are sent irregularly with large spans of time between mailings (like months).

    The recipients forget their participation with your company and forget any permissions they may have provided to be marketed to. Sometimes even if you provide a permission-reminder in the actual email, they still over-look that and jump the gun on classifying your email as spam. If that is the case, they may incorrectly use spam as a reason when they opt-out of the list. If you are using an list-manager service, a high rate of spam-reports may result in having to explain some things to the service.

    Well, Good tips... But you should use caution when using HTML because some inboxes may not be set or support HTML emails.

    BTW; Backlinks is a great generating long term traffic and improve SERPS.
    But for visitors NOW email marketing still is a powerful allied!

    i somethimes go in on those optins and I'm willingly to get a bit of spam but some just go overboard spamming everything they can promote and it's at that point that I mark them as spam, unsubscribe, add them to my big spam list. Once your on that spam list - you're pretty much doomed at getting your messages to anyone on my email provider [isp].

    Pace out delivery of messages unless you want to be added in on these lists (remember your name goes out with those emails and that means when you're added to a block list - your name gets attached to being a spammer).
