    Hi Friends,

Google takes a snapshot each page it visits and caches (stores) that version as a back-up. Google uses this page to determine if a page is good match for your query.

Indexing mean search engine spider processes each page it crawls in order to compile a main index of all the words it sees and their location of each page. You can use SEO toolbar to check the date of index.

    Thanks and Regards

Indexing a website means given site is added to the index of search engine so that its existence is noted.

Caching is nothing but takes snapshots the website and stores it as backup of the site. Google crawler visits every site after a interval of time and take snapshots.

Indexing is a process to make a webpage searchable on search engine whereas the process of caching refers to providing a reprinting content snapshot.

For example, if we uploaded a new website, then first of all search engine crawler will read the site and after that, it will store all its contents in its Index Data Base in a different format (by giving priority to the h1, h2, or bold, title, meta tags etc.), it will not place content as it was published. As a result, the site will appear in search results for optimized keywords.

Google also takes a snapshot of each page on a website and stores it in a different data base which is known as cache data base. If you click on the “Cached” link, you will see the web page as it looked when we indexed it. while, Google creates the index and the database of documents that it accesses when processing a query.

Indexing is a process to store only data about web pages in search engine database and create a searchable data in search result.
Caching stores just snap shot or image of the website in cache database. With the help of “cached link” you can know that when you indexed in Google database.

Indexed means Google know about said page . It may appear in search results.
Cached means Google simply have a "copy" of the page. So if your sites offline, People can still view Googles cached copy of it.

There is no role of browser, if your site info is not in search engine, browser won't be able to tell.

Crawling is the process of an engine requesting — and successfully downloading — a unique URL.
Indexing is the result of successful crawling. I consider a URL to be indexed (by Google) when an info: or cache: query produces a result, signifying the URL’s presence in the Google index.
It means, if we uploaded a new website, then first of all search engine crawler will read the site and after that, it will store all its contents in its Index Data Base in a different format, it will not place content as it was published. As a result, the site will appear in search results for optimized keywords.

    Indexing
