I think back door pages are pages that only link in a 1 way direction. I saw a client using a technique where they would setup a website with say 10 pages. All the 10 pages would link to each other with standard navigation. Then they created maybe 5 more pages on the domain that were not link to at all from the domain.

After that was established they would get inbound links to the 5 additional pages that are not linked to. Those pages would then link to the 10 main pages. The theory being to pass link-juice and page rank in a 1 way direction and to maximize Page Rank by passing it 1 way without sharing it among the 10 primary pages.

Ultimately think it would be a waste of time. I think google would discount the pages for not being linked on the primary nav or from anywhere on the domain. Even if the pages established PR... I don't think it would help in the SERPs

I understood your concept of back door pages but precisely speaking that is scam when it comes to search engines crawlers because it makes that boot move in and out over and over again within the same website which sometimes give them good number of back links to main website from their sub domains. though not very healthy practice when it comes to SEO
